Key Data on Health & Health Care by Race and Ethnicity

A recent Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) report provides a detailed analysis of health and health care disparities across racial and ethnic groups in the United States. The findings show that Hispanic, Black, and American Indian or Alaska Native (AIAN) populations face higher rates of uninsurance, food insecurity, and chronic disease, along with lower life expectancy compared to White populations. Disparities extend beyond health outcomes to access to care and social determinants of health, including poverty, education, housing, and home ownership. These inequities highlight the structural and systemic barriers that continue to impact communities of color.
