Call for Abstracts

Submission Deadline: February 22, 2026

The National Association of State Offices of Minority Health (NASOMH) invites abstract submissions for the 2026 NASOMH Annual Meeting, an event designed to advance health equity, data innovation, and collaboration across state and territorial public health systems.

This year’s Annual Meeting will feature one-hour workshop sessions highlighting best practices, emerging research, and innovative programs that address racial and ethnic minority health disparities.We welcome submissions from state and territorial health offices, academic institutions, community-based organizations, and public health professionals who are driving equitable change.

Abstracts must be submitted by 11:59pm ET on February 22, 2026. Abstracts will NOT be accepted after this date under any circumstances.

Presenters are responsible for all travel and lodging costs. Each submission must be complete to be considered. Late or incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.

On the abstract form you can choose from the list of categories that best represents your submission.

  • Health Equity and Policy – Awareness and understanding of new laws, policies, and funding that affect state minority health and health equity programs.
  • Data, Research, and Evaluation – Using data and research to identify health gaps and measure program successes in reducing health disparities.
  • Community Engagement and Partnerships – Building strong relationships with tribal nations, community groups, and other state health offices.
  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention – Culturally and linguistically appropriate approaches to engage and educate communities in chronic disease management and prevention.
  • Behavioral Health and Substance Use – Evidence-based approaches to addressing mental health and substance use disorders in minority communities.
  • AI Innovations in Public Health and Health Care Delivery – Using AI for community engagement, decision support, disease surveillance, and ethics in healthcare governance.
