The American Public Health Association (APHA) will host its2026 Policy Action Institute, bringing together public health professionals, advocates, policymakers, and students to strengthen advocacy skills and advance public health policy priorities. Through panels, workshops, and networking opportunities, participants will explore strategies for navigating today’s public health challenges, influencing policy, and supporting equitable health outcomes.

The institute will focus on topics including public health funding, advocacy, communication, workforce challenges, and health equity. An optional Hill Day on June 11 will provide attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and advocate for public health priorities on Capitol Hill.
