The 47th Annual Minority Health Conference, hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Gillings School of Global Public Health, will take place on February 27, 2026. The theme for this year, “Uniting Words and Worlds: Innovation in Health Communication,” focuses on the vital role of effective communication in advancing public health, promoting health equity, and ensuring research and health knowledge reach the people who need it most. The conference brings together students, researchers, community leaders, policymakers, and health advocates to explore innovative strategies for making health information accessible, culturally relevant, and actionable. Started in 1977 by the Minority Student Caucus, this long‑standing, student‑led event is nationally recognized for raising awareness of health disparities and mobilizing community‑driven action.
