NASOMH recognizes National Voter Registration Day, a nationwide, nonpartisan effort that encourages eligible voters to register and keep their voter information current. Voting is an important part of civic engagement, and elected leaders' decisions can influence many factors that affect the health and well-being of individuals and communities, including access to health care, public health programs, community resources, and other services. National Voter Registration Day is an opportunity to take a few minutes to check your voter registration status and update your information if you have recently moved, changed your name, or need to make other changes. It is also an opportunity to share trusted voter registration information with family, friends, colleagues, and communities. Members and partners are encouraged to help spread the word and support informed civic participation in their communities.
